Prior to the purchase, Merit Labs participated in our Beta-Test and was impressed by how quickly the Presto system handled their large volume and dirty samples. For their TCLP semi-volatiles application following EPA Method 8270/3535, the Presto extracted 8 x 1L samples in just about 1 hour. This achieved 50% time savings compared to their existing SPE-03.
During the Beta-test, we also demonstrated great recoveries for PFAS using 6mL WAX/GCB cartridges per EPA Method 1633. Not only did the Presto offer greater efficiencies, but it was also able to handle a full range of challenging samples.
